unit 14 task 5 p5

You have £500 to spend per delivery driver on mobile technology to improve the delivery service.
Give examples of how mobile technology can help.

Having researching mobile devices i think that, you could send £500 on a sat nav because they could use this to dial in the customers address and it will be easier for them to find the house.

You could also use £500 on a mobile phone to contact either your customer or the company you work for. A mobile phone could be useful because if the delivery person gets delayed then they could contact the customer to say that they will be running late with their delivery.

The company could use £500 on a signature signing device, this would be a good thing to spend your money on because is it a piece of evidence that the parcel has been delivered and it is quicker than using a pen and paper. once the customer has signed it the signature  will be sent of the the main office and it will say that they have signed for the parcel.

Another thing they could spend their £500 on could be a tablet. You could use this as a replacement of a map, or use it to send emails to the main office and anyone else. To send an email you could connect to 3G or 4G.
