unit 14 task 4 p7

How to send a contact through bluetooth;

Step 1; Press the menu button on the first phone select 'bluetooth' and 'on'.

Step 2; You now need to open up the bluetooth menu and make sure that you are discoverable so that the second phone can pick it up.

Step 3; Enable bluetooth on the second phone. Then 'add new' or 'search' for the second phone device on the first phone.

Step 4; Select the name of the second phone when it becomes 'discoverable' on the first phone.

Step 5; A little window will now pop up on the second phone and you should click 'accept' to pair up both of the devices. Each phone will then ask for a passcode, enter any 4 number code and press 'proceed' both of the codes must be matching on each of the phones in order for it to work.

Step 6;  Press 'menu' on the first phone and choose 'contacts'.

Step 7; Press 'options' and choose 'select contact' the select 'use bluetooth'.

Step 8; Select all of the contacts you want to send (you can send more than one at once on some phones, but some phones ask for you to send the individually) press 'send' when all of the contacts that you want to send are selected.

Step 9; Wait for the first phone to search for devices, and then select the name of the second phone on the first phone.

Step 10; Select 'accept' on the second phone, and then press 'save' when the transfer is complete. All of the contacts that you have sent will now be saved in your contact list.

bluetooth is short range so can only be used between people that are very close by. But to transfer contacts to someone that is far away you could use text messaging.
